Who we are

2D Marketing is an advertising agency run by Denis D. Marketing Agent is a private tool operated by 2D Marketing (Denis) to help plan, write and manage Google Ads campaigns for 2D Marketing's own businesses and for clients who have given 2D Marketing permission to manage their ads. It is not a public app and is not offered to the general public.

What data the tool accesses

When 2D Marketing signs in with a Google account and approves access, Marketing Agent uses the Google Ads API to read and manage Google Ads accounts that 2D Marketing manages or has been granted access to. This can include:

• campaigns, ad groups, keywords and ads;
• budgets;
• conversion and performance data;
• the names and IDs of those accounts.

If 2D Marketing connects its own Google Drive, the tool also uses the Google Drive API with the limited "drive.file" permission: it creates a "2D Marketing" folder with a folder per client and saves copies of the documents and images it made for that client there. With this permission the tool can only see and change files and folders it created itself, not any other file in that Drive.

The tool also stores the sign-in tokens Google issues so it can keep working without asking again.

How the data is used

• To analyse the performance of advertising accounts and suggest improvements.
• To prepare new campaigns and ad copy. Campaigns are only created or changed after 2D Marketing approves each change, and new campaigns are created paused.
• To keep a change log: a record of what was changed, when, and who approved it.

The data is not sold, is not used for advertising to anyone else, and is not shared with third parties except as described below.

Services that process data

• Google Ads API. Used to read and manage the advertising accounts.
• Google Drive API. Used only to save copies of client documents and images in 2D Marketing's own Drive, in folders the tool created.
• OpenAI API. Text such as business descriptions and summaries of account data may be sent to OpenAI's API to generate recommendations and ad copy. Search terms and account names are replaced with placeholders before account summaries are sent, and OpenAI is asked not to store the responses. It is used only to provide the tool's results.
• Hetzner (server hosting in Germany). Data is stored on a private server hosted by Hetzner in Germany. Access is limited to 2D Marketing, and credentials are kept in a restricted configuration file.

Google API Services User Data Policy

2D Marketing's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Data received from Google is used only to provide and improve the features described above. It is not used to develop or train generalized AI models, and it is not transferred or sold to others except as necessary to provide the tool's features, to comply with the law, or with the user's consent. No humans read the data except 2D Marketing (Denis), unless needed for security or legal reasons.

Retention and deletion

Account data and reports are kept on 2D Marketing's server for as long as 2D Marketing works with the client, and are deleted on request, together with the client's Google Drive folder. Audit reports are deleted after one year, free website reviews for businesses that are not clients after 90 days, and daily server backups after 14 days. The Google sign-in token is deleted when access is revoked. Anyone can revoke the tool's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Security

Secrets are stored in a restricted file on the server, server access is by key login only, and the tool can only make changes after explicit approval from 2D Marketing.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version.
